Question 1

What is a good answer to "why do you want to work here?"

Accepted Answer

One that could not be given to a competitor. Name something specific to this company — a product decision, an engineering post, a market they entered — and connect it to what you want to do next. Generic praise about culture or leadership fails the test.

Question 2

How much company research is enough?

Accepted Answer

One genuinely specific, accurate detail you can talk about comfortably beats a long list you half-remember. Depth on one thing reads as real interest; breadth with no depth reads as preparation for its own sake.
